i have all my DAWs running as admin)Ī friend of mine who runs a professional facility had a iLok go bad on him. it has to do with permissions handling in win10 and writing presets within the DAWs (not just S1. under win10 it is best to turn on 'run as admin' in properties of your DAWs. (especially for the folks using Console 1 by softube. seems to me that they should have had ALL this worked out by now. luckily for me i don't have a lot of softube stuff. so i am choosing the better of two evils and just not using my softube stuff. everything is working peachy keen except for the Softube/iLok2 thing that is still screwing the pooch. had to run in compatibility mode for a while and that bogged a lot of my real time plugs and slowed S1's reaction times, screwed with graphics in S1 and made some of my plugs refuse to work.

a lot of companies were behind on getting win10 drivers ready so some had to be installed as win8 installers. all dirvers that weren't recognized were hit and miss. i been on win10 since before it's release but when it was officially released i did a redo of my desk here.
